Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management begun trading of 4 new ETFs, the Deutsche X-trackers MSCI Eurozone High Dividend Yield Hedged Equity ETF (NYSE Arca: HDEZ), the Deutsche X-trackers MSCI EAFE High Dividend Yield Hedged Equity ETF (NYSE Arca: HDEF), the Deutsche X-trackers MSCI ACWI ex-U.S. High Dividend Yield Hedged Equity ETF (NYSE Arca: HDAW), and the Deutsche X-trackers MSCI Emerging Markets High Dividend Yield Hedged Equity ETF (NYSE Arca: HDEE) on Wednesday, August 12, 2015.

FUND OBJECTIVE:
The Deutsche X-trackers MSCI Eurozone High Dividend Yield Hedged Equity ETF seeks investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before fees and expenses, of the MSCI EMU High Dividend Yield US Dollar Hedged Index.

 

REFERENCE INDEX:
The MSCI EMU High Dividend Yield US Dollar Hedged Index is designed to track the performance of equity securities based in the countries in the European Monetary Union (the “EMU”), while seeking to mitigate exposure to fluctuations between the value of the U.S. dollar and the euro.
The Index is designed to reflect the performance of equities (excluding REITs) in its parent index, the MSCI EMU Index, with higher dividend income and quality characteristics than average dividend yields of equities in the parent index, where such higher dividend income and quality characteristics are both sustainable and persistent. The Index is composed of equities from countries in the EMU, or the “Eurozone,” that have adopted the euro as their common currency and sole legal tender. The Fund will invest at least 80% of its total assets (but typically far more) in component securities of the Underlying Index.

As of June 30, 2015, the Underlying Index consisted of 34 securities with an average market capitalization of approximately $15.3 billion and a minimum market capitalization of approximately $4.4 billion from issuers in the following countries: Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain. The Fund will concentrate its investments (i.e., hold 25% or more of its total assets) in a particular industry or group of industries to the extent that its Index is concentrated. As of June 30, 2015, the Index was substantially comprised of issuers in the financial services (31.82%), utilities (20.26%) and energy (17.51%) sectors.

The MSCI EAFE High Dividend Yield US Dollar Hedged Index is designed to track developed market performance while mitigating exposure to fluctuations between the value of the U.S. dollar and the currencies of the countries included in the Underlying Index.
The Index is designed to reflect the performance of equities (excluding REITs) in its parent index, the MSCI EAFE Index, with higher dividend income and quality characteristics than average dividend yields of equities in the parent index, where such higher dividend income and quality characteristics are both sustainable and persistent. The Fund will invest at least 80% of its total assets (but typically far more) in component securities (including depositary receipts in respect of such securities) of the Index.

As of June 30, 2015, the Underlying Index consisted of 124 securities, with an average market capitalization of approximately $19.7 billion and a minimum market capitalization of approximately $1.3 billion, from issuers in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
The Fund will concentrate its investments (i.e., hold 25% or more of its total assets) in a particular industry or group of industries to the extent that its Index is concentrated. As of June 30, 2015, the Underlying Index was substantially comprised of issuers in the financial services (20.99%) and health care (14.55%) sectors.

The Underlying Index is designed to reflect the performance of equities (excluding real estate investment trusts (“REITs”)) in its parent index, the MSCI ACWI ex US Index, with higher dividend income and quality characteristics than average dividend yields of equities in the parent index, where such higher dividend income and quality characteristics are both sustainable and persistent.

As of June 30, 2015, the Underlying Index consisted of 285 securities, with an average market capitalization of approximately $13.2 billion and a minimum market capitalization of approximately $431.5 million, from issuers in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.

The Fund will invest at least 80% of its total assets (but typically far more) in component securities (including depositary receipts in respect of such securities) of the Underlying Index.

As of June 30, 2015, the Underlying Index consisted of 155 securities, with an average market capitalization of approximately $5.7 billion and a minimum market capitalization of approximately $465.3 million, from issuers in the following countries: Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Qatar, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
