CLTL: New U.S. Treasury Short Bond ETF launched by Invesco

Invesco, begun trading a new U.S. Treasury Short Bond ETF, the PowerShares Treasury Collateral Portfolio (NyseArca: CLTL), on Thursday, January 12, 2017.  Here is a synopsis of the new ETF:

FUND OBJECTIVE:
The PowerShares Treasury Collateral Portfolio seeks investment results that generally correspond (before fees and expenses) to the price and yield of the ICE U.S. Treasury Short Bond Index.

 

REFERENCE INDEX:
The ICE U.S. Treasury Short Bond Index  is designed to measure the performance of U.S. Treasury Obligations with a maximum remaining maturity of 12 months. “U.S. Treasury Obligations” refer to securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. Treasury where the payment of principal and interest is backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government. They include U.S. Treasury notes, U.S. Treasury bills and U.S. Treasury floating rate bonds.

The Underlying Index includes all publicly-issued, non-convertible U.S. Treasury Obligations that:
(i) are issued in U.S. dollars,
(ii) have a minimum remaining maturity of at least one month and a maximum remaining maturity of 12 months at the time of rebalance, and
(iii) have a minimum amount outstanding of $300 million.
The Underlying Index excludes inflation-linked securities, floating rate notes, cash management bills, and any government agency debt issued with or without a government guarantee. The Underlying Index uses a market capitalization-weighted methodology. Interactive Data Pricing and Reference Data LLC (Index Provider) rebalances the Underlying Index at the end of each month.
